GoToDo Kanban
High-performance CQRS Todo application designed to handle 10M+ records with OpenSearch.
Overview
Structural Integrity for Data Persistence
A full-stack Kanban application built with Go, React (TypeScript), PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch — featuring a CQRS architecture for high-performance reads at scale.
Validate the scalability of CQRS patterns by stress-testing query latency and write consistency across datasets exceeding ten million nodes.
Sub-20ms search response times and seamless real-time UI updates via highly optimized read models.
The application needed to seamlessly handle millions of records (10M+) while providing instant full-text search, faceted filtering, and real-time paginated results without slowing down the write operations.
Traditional relational schemas begin to fracture under the weight of deep nested searches at this scale. Our process involved a radical separation of concerns.
Process
CQRS Implementation
Command Query Responsibility Segregation. Writes are handled by PostgreSQL to ensure ACID compliance, while the read path is completely offloaded.
Elastic Sync Engine
Custom CLI tool built in Go to manage real-time data hydration from PostgreSQL to OpenSearch with zero-downtime reindexing capabilities.
Frontend Resilience
React 18 concurrent rendering ensures the Kanban board remains responsive even during heavy background data synchronization.
Technical Stack
Core Features
CQRS Architecture
Asymmetrical data flows for optimized read/write performance.
OpenSearch Search
Instant results across 10M+ records with fuzzy matching.
Passkey Security
Passwordless biometric authentication for critical mutations.
Drag & Drop
High-fidelity Kanban board with optimistic UI updates.
